Free Pattern: Awesome Brother Armband

Yesterday was quite busy – my little brother Logan spent the night with us. We had some plans ahead of time (Kung Fu Panda and Yahtzee), but he surprised me when he said he wanted to knit something.

After Leo went to sleep, I hooked Logan up with the Pine Tree Burly Spun leftover from my mom’s Christmas scarf and some US #13 needles. He made this armband in one sitting. I thought I would write up a little pattern and share it with you.

One size fits most children and adults.

Brown Sheep Company Burly Spun [100% wool; 130 yd per hank]; small amount color BS68, Pine Tree
US #13 needles
Tapestry needle

CO 6 sts.

Knit 30 rows or desired length.

Use the tail to sew the CO and BO edge together. Wear proudly!

(By the way, I sent Logan home with the rest of the Cascade 220 from his Turn A Square so he could make a matching scarf.)
