On the bandwagon.

When working on a deadline, one needs a side project. An “I can knit this in the dark while I’m half asleep” project.

My current side project is the Noro Striped Scarf, which I first saw on Jared Flood’s website. I’ve always wanted to knit the scarf, but the Knit Nook was low on Noro until just a couple of weeks ago. Jared used Silk Garden for his scarf, but I chose Kureyon because I fell for one of the colorways (the one with the red, pink, and teal.) I also cast on less stitches — 27 — to get the width I wanted.

So far, a very enjoyable scarf to knit.

I too have been working on this scarf…and couldn't put it down last night and was up at 4:30 this morning working on it. I couldn't find the Noro so I compromised and used Wisdom Yarn Poems. 100% wool and half the price. I also ordered more yarn…Universal…that is comparable…but couldn't wait for it to arrive in the mail and jumped on this other yarn at a local store. Good luck finishing it!
